The Urban Water Research Center at the University of California-Irvine presented a seminar called Women in Water on April 24, 2008. The guest speaker was Dorothy Green, author of Managing Water: Avoiding Crisis in California and Founding President of Heal the Bay. Seven leaders in the water field comprised a panel to discuss current issues with water supply.
An ongoing forum for women interested in water resource issues is proposed for the Orange County area. Meetings would be open to students and professionals.
