The image shows what you get by default when you choose to edit any page on this wiki. Things to notice:

  • The editor tabs on top: WYSIWYG mode, Wiki editor mode, Access Rights editor. In most cases, you will only interact with the WYSIWYG editor. Sometimes you may want to edit the markup directly; if so, click on the Wiki tab. For setting permissions different from the defaults, click on the Access Rights tab.
  • The text window itself, shown in green on the image. This is where you edit the page. It works like any ordinary text editor.
  • Tags: use them generously. Tags are very useful for finding your page using the search feature on the wiki. For example, if your page is about the Newport Bay watershed, you may want to use the tag Newport Bay.
  • The actions on the bottom:
    • Cancel: if you want to discard the changes.
    • Preview: if you want to see how it looks like without committing to the changes.
    • Save & Continue: save the changes and continue editing.
    • Save & View: save the changes and go back to normal browse mode.
