5: * A relational database that is accessible on the internet. Note that the data will *not* be copied over to CalSWIM; it remains on the original database. CalSWIM is simply a broker between people seeking data and data providers.
6: * Authorization from the database owner to share it with the public.
7: * A read&#45;only username/password for accessing the database over the internet. This information is necessary for the database registration process within CalSWIM, but is kept confidential; CalSWIM users will never see the username/password.
