Databases

This space of CalSWIM is open index, anyone can link water-related databases to this index. To contribute a database, you need:

• A relational database that is accessible on the internet. Note that the data will not be copied over to CalSWIM; it remains on the original database. CalSWIM is simply a broker between people seeking data and data providers.
• Authorization from the database owner to share it with the public.
• A read-only username/password for accessing the database over the internet. This information is necessary for the database registration process within CalSWIM, but is kept confidential; CalSWIM users will never see the username/password.

1. Register the database.
2. Add a new entry in the index below, linking to a page describing your database.
3. Create the page describing your database. Please use the page template provided in "CalSWIM Test Database".
